The Guardians of Justice Reviews & Ratings

It’s not unusual to find a superhero movie in a particular genre that has been successful; for example, the X-Men films (teenagers with superpowers) or Spider-Man films (teenagers with moral dilemmas). This review takes a cue from Indian cinema, which has grown in production, to deliver an entertaining superhero film that feels refreshingly different from the usual. The Guardian of Justice, a unique take on the superhero universe of today by director and super-producer Adi Shankar, has been accused of being derivative. The five-part serial is a reboot of the 2000 live-action series, The Guardians of Justice: Alien Force.

The Guardians of Justice Spoiler

Set in the 1990s, GJ is about a team of superheroes who keep Metropolis safe from evil-doers. But beneath the surface, there are secrets that drive a wedge between its members from the inside out. Director Adi Shankar’s new live-action short film, The Guardians of Justice, offers up a unique take on the superhero universe with its dramatic portrayal of the Guardians’ trauma after losing their partner. As they come to terms with the loss of their beloved leader, a new villain emerges and threatens to destroy all that they hold dear. It’s a tremendously powerful shot that tells a compelling story and pulls at our heartstrings through its beautiful interpretation of a superhero’s grief.

The Guardians of Justice Where to Watch Online

The first thing that must be addressed is the creator of this superhero universe. Adi Shankar has become a little bit of a sensation in recent years. His short film “The Punisher, Dirty Laundry” starring Shane West and Thomas Jane became so popular that it convinced Marvel to finally release the long-awaited Punisher movie for Netflix starring Jon Bernthal as the Dark Knight. Most recently, Adi directed the gritty and foul-mouthed Power Rangers short film which received record ratings on Facebook Live. He is certainly no stranger to comic books or superhero movies, so he should have a good idea of how to portray them correctly. But there is still no judgment from me until I watch the series myself and form an opinion.
