When Will Optus Data Security Breach Leaked?
Optus revealed its huge data breach on Thursday, 22nd September 2022, the customers of this firm got emails notifying them that their personal data and information got leaked and was being accessed. The telco gives some relief to the customers who are getting worried after hearing this and worried about the privacy of their passwords and financial information. The company states that no financial details or passwords were accessed. The data which got leaked included information such as the names of the customers, email addresses, dates of birth, addresses linked with their accounts, phone numbers and information on identification documents such as the passport number and the license numbers of drivers.

However, the telco did not disclose how many of its users residing in Australia were in danger of a breach. She suggested to other affected customers that the first step in order to prevent fraud, she asked people to directly call them and asks them to create additional verification methods for their accounts.
