Caleb Vanhooser & Christian Eubanks Death Reason
Two students who were found alive were immediately transferred to the hospital where they are undergoing treatments. Of the three students who passed away, two people were from the University football team, and the names of the two football players were Caleb VanHooser and Christian Eubanks. Along with these two, another student of the Indian university who passed away in the accident was Jayden Musili. The accident occurred on the 21st of August 2022, Sunday, earlier that day, and a match was held on the same day which was cancelled after the accident news came up. Police have revealed that the accident was a single car accident and the students struck a tree after which the car caught fire. Omarion Dixon and John Moore were the other two students of Indiana University who were involved in the car accident and these two were also players from Indiana State University Football team.

Police revealed that Omarion and Joh were transferred to the hospital and they are currently out of the Intensive care unit but they are still in critical condition. The accident occurred in the Riley area and it is still unknown whether the students were under any kind of influence or not. Jayden was a 19 years old student who was from Fort Wayne and he recently became a student of the ISU this year. Jayden was also involved in the Pathway to Blue program which is a bridge program between the Ivy tech community and ISU. Christian Eubanks was a player from the ISU football team aged 18 years old. He was a freshman at Waukegan. Caleb Vanhooser was another football player from ISU who passed away in the accident he was 19 years old, and was a student of ISU from Liberty Waukegan.

ISU athlete students gathered at the football team’s home venue and they mourned the tragedy on the night of August 21st. School director of athletics Sherard Clinkscales said that he is heartbroken by the loss of these three souls. He added that when precious souls are lost it is very difficult to comprehend. He lastly sent his condolences to the family members of the students who passed away in the accident. Blue Program director Sade Walker appreciated Jayden Musili by saying that his smile was infectious ad he was a student who was hardworking and excited about his classes.
